Start your construction career with a recognised health and safety qualification. The GQA Level 1 Award in Construction Health and Safety is designed for people who are new to construction, already working in a labouring role, or need to demonstrate the basic safety knowledge expected on a UK construction site.
The course focuses on the practical health and safety issues workers are likely to face on site. You will learn how to recognise hazards, understand basic risk controls, work safely around equipment and respond correctly when something goes wrong. Full instructions will be given before assessment so you know what is expected.
